Because I don’t think anyone would believe me…

I had to prove it to you. Partially because I don’t even believe it myself! The kids have been busy here lately and I just wanted to show you what they’ve been up to.

Exhibit A:

Nightmare on my street

I almost cry every time I walk in this room. It’s such a disaster that it takes my breath away.

Exhibit B:

what a mess.jpg
So, this is what I get to look forward to when I’m all better. Yikes. See all those little white things? That’s crushed up styrofoam peanuts. Thanks environmentally unfriendly shipper!

Anyone own a flame thrower? That seems like the only thing that’s going to clean up that mess! Anyway, I just had to put these pictures out there because words could never describe that horror of a playroom!

Keeping it real, friends!

  1. Notice my picture was only my closet – something I have control over. I’ve posted some pretty bad pictures of my kids’ rooms. Actually your photo reminds me of when I had flu and my children didn’t. Take care!

  2. Looks like your boys have been having a ton of fun!

My whole house looks like this right now. I have this itching to do some spring cleaning and clean out every nook and cranny around here. But I haven’t gone about it in a very organized manner so the whole house is a disaster. I’m hoping to enlist Chris’s help today. It shouldn’t take long.

  3. lol – I’m with Carri.
    Um – unfortunately.

Playing outside for three days, when indoors only working on calendars, work yesterday…. Yup…..
    whoooooole house.

  4. They are definitely creating and industrious! I am glad to hear it is styrofoam. At least it isn’t popcorn – then it might matter.

  5. My guys do the same thing with styrofoam – for one of Evan’s birthdays, I bought him a HUGE bag of styrofoam peanuts – he was in heaven! It was worth the environmental guilt. That room looks like our TV room looked. We moved. lol Not really recommending that, but it’s what *finally* got us to go through everything. And, um… I wasn’t sick.

  6. Hey gang! It’s nice to know I’m not the only one with a messy house right now! LOL 🙂

It’s frustrating to be here and not be able to get in there and clean it up. What adds to the frustration is the fact that, when the room looks like that, they can’t find anything. And when they can’t find anything they instantly come to me and want me to help find it. Well, I can’t do that because I’m not supposed to be bending over a lot and so that makes them upset and frustrated. It’s a vicious cycle! I never thought these words would come out of my mouth but I can’t wait until I’m well enough to give the house a good cleaning.

I didn’t want you to get hit by lightning….lol

Thanks again for commiserating y’all. It made me feel better to know I’m not all by myself in MessyTown.

  7. You are so not alone 🙂

I have to brace myself whenever entering my daughter’s bedroom these days! I often get inspiration though – (hmmm – maybe it’s condemnation when things are really bad lol) – from this site:

Go through some of their organisational challenge finalists – great pics for you to look at until you are ok to do something about it.

Love the shots of the boys with the new lens & really love the celtic touch to your banner!
    Take care,

  8. My OCD is kicking when I look at that. I envy you because, I would love for my house to get messy. I. just. can’t . stop. cleaning. You know it’s like people with curly hair, and people with straight, they always want what each other have. Too bad I don’t live close to you, well, I dunno where you live, but I don’t think close. Anyway, I would love that project! be well!-K
